Multithane + Rocktuff Combo

Multithane Waterproofing Membrane plus Rocktuff Anti-Slip Trafficable Top Coat

The Multithane UV and Rocktuff Combo is an ideal solution where a trafficable waterproofing membrane is required. The Multithane UV provides the waterproofing protection and the Rocktuff provides the anti-slip trafficability. Each product represents the ultimate technology in its field, but together provides the ultimate solution to providing both a functional waterproofing membrane and a tough, anti-slip, trafficable protective coating.
Duram Multithane UV is a single pack, liquid applied, UV stabilised, polyurethane waterproofing membrane. For full details refer to separate data sheet for this product.
Duram ROCKTUFF is a single pack, liquid applied, polyurethane, tough anti-slip coating. For full details refer to separate data sheet for this product.
These compatible products work exceptional well in combination providing a truly anti-slip, trafficable waterproofing system.

This system is designed to provide an anti-slip, trafficable waterproofing system. The Multithane UV is the waterproofing membrane and the ROCKTUFF is the trafficable anti-slip coating. Each can be used independently for their respective purpose, but together they provide a waterproofing membrane that can be walked on with the added benefit of an anti-slip finish.
Typical uses include: Roofs, podiums, patios, balconies & terraces, decks, plant rooms, garbage storage areas, behind bar  and kitchen counters and wash bays.

Suitable Surfaces

Suitable for most primed building substrates including:
Concrete, cement. cement render, FC and CFC Sheeting, timber, bitumen, brick and masonry. In this instance, ROCKTUFF is applied on top of Multithane UV so so more details refer to  the suitable substrates listed under Multithane UV data sheet.

The information contained in this product data sheet is typical but does not constitute a full specification as conditions and specific requirements may vary from project to project. The instructions should be considered as a minimum requirement but the applicator or contractor must use their skill, knowledge and experience to carry out additional works as may be necessary to meet the requirements of the project. Specification for specific projects should be sought from the Company in writing.

Multithane UV is very flexible and Rocktuff has a lower flexibility than Multithane UV. Therefore, the flexibility of the system is limited to that of Rocktuff. Cracks, joints and expansion joints must be independently waterproofed as the above system may not tolerate moderate to excessive movement over long periods. The system is designed for normal foot traffic. Point loads such as stiletto heels, sharps, table legs and chairs may damage the membrane.

Benefits and Advantages

• Multithane UV and Rocktuff are single pack products - so they are easy to apply.
• The products are compatible.
• The entire system is flexible, impact resistant and a pleasant and safe coating on which to walk.
• The combination of products provide a genuinely trafficable waterproof membrane, with added benefit of being anti-slip.
• Easy to repair and top coat.
• Looks good.
• Different colours can be used to denote walking areas or safety issues.
• Chemically resistant.
• Products are both polyurethanes.
• Provides a long term waterproofing protection.

Refer to the data sheets of the individual products. As a general rule the coverage when used in combination is the same as when used individually.
Multithane UV:  1.5 to 1.8 Lt per m² for the combined coats ensuring that the membrane is at least 1.2mm thick.
Rocktuff:          1.00 per m² for the combined coats ensuring that the membrane is at least 0.75mm thick.

Multithane is usually grey.
Rocktuff standard range of colours is Black, Light Grey , Dark Grey and Safety Yellow.
